近年來，新能源汽車電池用硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠的相關研究被報道。例如，報道了一種新能源汽車鏗電池用低密度灌封膠，該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠以端乙烯基硅油為基礎聚合物，三氧化二鋁為導熱填料，鉑配合物為催化劑，含氫硅油為交聯劑，氫氧化鋁和氫氧化鎂為陰燃填料。研究結果表明，該配方以三氧化二鋁15份(三氧化二鋁粒徑比為4 m:8 m=3:7), 100份乙烯基硅油、復配陰燃填料20份(氫氧化鋁:氫氧化鎂按質量比=1:1)、增粘劑為1份、抑制劑為0.03份以及含氫硅油為4份時，得到的低密度灌封膠具有優異性能，其茹度為3 000 mPas，密度僅為1.18 g/cm3, UL94陰燃等級為V-0，熱導率為0.8 W/(mK)，對不銹鋼、鋁材以及ABS基材具有良好粘接性，能夠滿足新能源汽車鏗電池的應用要求。
研究了一種應用于新能源汽車電池包的硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠，經過測試發現該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠具有高彈性、壓縮恢復率、抗老化并且可以滿足生命周期內5次以上的可維修拆卸性，能夠滿足電池包密封面的基本要求。然而該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠在耐高低溫、流動以及低密度等特性方面，不具備明顯優勢。
報道了一種新能源汽車電池包用即時發泡膠，該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠是一種A B雙組分固化液體硅橡膠，使用時將A和B組分按照1:1的比例混合應用于器件表面，這種硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠在室溫狀態即可固化成型，產品的形態表面致密內部泡孔細密均勻有優異的回彈性。然而，這種硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠操作復雜，不便于施工使用。測試了一種某供應商A牌號的發泡硅橡膠，測試了該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠的吸水率、壓縮應力松弛、壓縮永久變形、抗撕裂強度及陰燃特性，結果表明該發泡硅橡膠具有優異的抵抗永久變形、壓縮應力松弛以及低的吸水性，可作為新能源汽車電池包硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠的選材之一。
除此之外，瓦克于推出了一款新型可拆卸的密封硅脂(SEMICOSILPASTE RSSCN)，該硅脂優化了硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠的流變特性，能夠在裝配的過程中快速鋪展到位，并且具有可拆卸、易清洗的優點能夠滿足電池包的裝配和維修功能。該硅烷改性聚氨酯密封膠通過了UL 94 VO陰燃等級的測試，在高溫高濕沖擊、溫度沖擊一鹽水浸泡、高溫老化(110 ℃)以及鹽霧等測試中，其性能均未發生明顯變化。http://www.jifengjixie.cn/
